1. The plant logs monthly the water consumption specifying supply source and its use.

Means of verification:

Monthly water use record with the following information:

• Supply source available, canal, well, drinking water supply, tank network, etc.
• Monthly consumption per each source (m3).
• Type of use within the processing line for each of the sources.

2. The plant trains the people in charge of decisions in hydric matters strategies that allow for a more efficient management of the resource.

Means of verification:

Record of training implementation: attendance list identifying gender, theme exposed, material exposed, photographic record and certification given- or certificate of participation in external training instances: courses, seminars, congresses. It is verified that at least one of the persons in the area has received the training.

3. The plant has a map or plan with the locations of the water sources within the site and the hydric structure associated to the different phases of production, drying, tenderizing, pitting, etc.

Means of verification:

Map or plan of water sources and hydric infrastructure, either digital or physical.

4. The plant trains the people in charge of actions in hydric matters embracing operative actions that allow for a more efficient management of the resource.

Means of verification:

Record of training implementation: attendance list identifying gender, theme exposed, material exposed, photographic record and certification given. It is verified that at least one of the persons in the area has received the training.

ACTION:

5. The plant has a document defining a management plan of the hydric resource.

Means of verification:

Management plan of the hydric resource that considers the following indicators:

• An efficiency indicator of the water used; total liters of water/kilo prunes.
• An efficient goal in the use of water based on the indicator proposed above.
• A proposal of a reduction percentage in the use of water if the efficiency goal is not fulfilled

6. The plant measures the corporate water footprint used in their own activities.

Means of verification:

Document demonstrating water footprint measurement based on the methodology of ISO 14,046 norm.
