ACTION:

48. The farm monitors plagues, illnesses and weeds to determine the type of intervention to be carried out.

Means of verification:

Monitoring records of plagues, illnesses and weeds done monthly with the following information:

• Date of the finding.
• Name of the spices.
• Location.
• Number of individuals visualized.
• Damage done.
• Control measures.

49. The farm develops a plan to manage plagues, illnesses and weeds based on a defined damage threshold which must be associated to the monitoring carried out.

Means of verification:

Protocol of plague control specifying the applications to be carried out once the defined damage threshold has been passed.

ACTION:

50. The farm chooses the agrochemical products based on their environmental impact, choosing the ones that generate less impact (green or blue label).

Means of verification:

Updated record of agrochemical product applications with the following information:

• Date and hour.
• Area.
• Product name.
• Color of the label.
• Active ingredient.
• Dose.
• Application method.
• Application target.
• Waiting period and re-entry period.
• Responsible.

51. The farm records the environment impact index generated by the agrochemical products used in production; the products with less impact are chosen to be applied.

Means of verification:

Record of pesticides used during the season, including the EIQ Score of each of them. It must be verified that the one with the lowest Score for the type of application is used. The pesticide must be chosen from the current list of agrochemical products authorized by SAG (Agricultural and Livestock Service according to its initials in Spanish).

• The calculation for the EIQ of current agrochemical products authorized by SAG for the European prune will be available.
