Means of verification:

Visual inspection of an identified place to store agrochemical products and fuel that must have floor, signs to store products separated according to their type and signposting with directions in case of spilling.

ACTION:

53. The farm keeps an updated inventory of the agrochemical products in the storage area.

Means of verification:

Inventory, updated at least once in the season, of the stored labeled products with the following information:

• Name of the product.
• Volume stored.
• Expiration date.
• Active ingredient.
• Color of the label.

54. The farm has an emergency kit with informative signposting in case of spill of agrochemical products in the washing and storage areas.

Means of verification:

Visual inspection of the signposting with directions in case of emergencies and of the emergency kit in the washing and storage areas making sure it has:

• Signposting with cleaning protocol and emergency numbers.
• Area to wash hands and eyes (sink).
• Absorbing material to avoid spread of the spill like for example, sand.
• Manual fire extinguishing system based on extinguishers compatible with the stored products.
