18. The plant has a diagnosis where the existing biodiversity and high ecological value areas within the property are identified.
Means of verification:
Biodiversity diagnosis with the following points:
- Map with identification of exploitation areas with high ecological value like lakes, water pods and flows, wildlife corridors, wetlands, grasslands rich in species, etc.
- Registry of the existing biodiversity in the area, for example: main species in the area- birds, mammals, trees, insects, fungi, bushes, etc.-
- Photographic georeferenced record of the starting state of the connectivity natural flora areas, margins and limits of the fields, buffering riverside areas and conservation areas for native flora.
19. The plant has a management plan for the biodiversity that proposes preservation measures using the information from the previously made diagnosis. The plan is evaluated and updated every 5 years.
Means of verification:
Management plan with protocols for the implementation of the following measures:
- Base line of interest area.
- Prioritization and definition of preservation targets.
- Connectivity, restoration and rehabilitation measures.
- Management and control measures of exotic species.
- Regulation plan of the property.
Such document must be dated less than 5 years ago.
